Until fairly recently we were an independent greeting card business. We got into that accidentally, but pretty soon realised that our ambitions expanded beyond the world of greeting cards and what we really wanted – as did our social media following and stockists – were our designs on “other stuff”. What we desired were “best in class” partners with experience in producing all the “other stuff” and that means licensing.
In October 2016 we were fortunate enough to make the final four of Brand Licensing Europe’s “License This!” competition, an annual event at Olympia to find the best unlicensed “property”. We didn’t win, but the truth is we never intended to as our eyes were on a much bigger prize: To put what we do in front of Jane Evans, licensing industry legend, head of global licensing agency JELC and one of the judges of “License This!”
Within a matter of days we’d signed with Jane as our licensing agent and since then Jane and her team have guided us through the dark arts of licensing, securing deals with the best in class partners that we’d dreamt of, helping us to expand what we do onto beautiful products that are available all over the world.
As our licensing agents JELC deal with all enquiries regarding possible new product ventures.
…and now, in France too
From February 2018 we’ve linked with Paris based Home Made Licensing to expand our licensing portfolio into France and French speaking Benelux and Switzerland.
